Over the last several months, I've been busy continuing to build my software company and also becoming much more involved in my local community and school district. As you can imagine, this has kept me from spending much time on this website or on "Internship Mastery" topics.

First, let me address the featured image on this post. I'm approaching this post from the standpoint of where I live, The United States of America. I realize that many of you don't live in the U.S., but regardless, I believe that you can relate what I'm about to discuss to your own country. We're all in the same boat.

A lot has been happening in the world over the last 19 months, beginning back in March of 2020. We've experienced lockdowns, mandates, small businesses ruined, and people turning against their own family members, friends, and neighbors over polarizing topics.

And, we now have businesses firing employees because the employees won't take a medical procedure... which goes against our very freedom and right to medical autonomy.

It's easy for us to keep our heads down and continue to go after our personal goals, while ignoring everything going on around us.

And although continuing down the personal development path is super important in times like these... we can't lose sight of what really matters. We must stay connected to the reality of what's really going on in our world.

Listen to people on both sides of an issue to gather all of the facts, and then use your own analytical capabilities to take a stance. Don't let other people, the media, or politicians tell you what to think... and that also includes not letting me tell you what to think.

Don't let other people tell you that we all hate each other. It's easy for social media and traditional media to skew reality.

Lastly, if you come to the conclusion (as I have) that many of the mandates, censorship, and other tactics being used against us are unjust in a free society... then I urge you to follow what the late great Martin Luther King, Jr. said:

“One has not only a legal, but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.”

What are my plans going forward?

I'm going to continue improving myself—nutrition, fitness, mental health, spiritual, etc.

I'm going to continue growing my software company.

I'm going to continue staying connected and involved with what's going on around my community, state, country, and world.

And, as our fellow citizens have done throughout history, I'll continue to take a stand against unjust laws.
